Esther de Jong in the Catskill Mountains
Born in the Netherlands, Esther was raised in Maassluis. After college she worked in business, but in 1998 she launched a career as a professional model and traveled the globe.
In 2004, while living in Europe and maintaining homes in Holland, Paris and the Canary Islands, Esther decided to move to New York City to attend the National Academy of Art and Design and study painting with Sam Adoquei.
One summer she left the city to vacation in the Catskill Mountains. Drawn to this landscape, Esther made the Catskills her weekend home. In 2012 she left the city behind to live here full time.
Esther is a passionate advocate for Upstate New York and the Catskills region. She continues to help people find homes, see art, and start their own businesses through her community work and special services.
