MOONDUST IN THE LOAM
I am back, in a field with freshly stirred dirt
back in the dirt that sustains me.
Between rocks and earth, my toes feel
the moon inside. When in the end we fall
and are scattered deep enough,
we know we are a part of it.

TUNING
It begins with a strand of the wind;
sharpens your profile, adding a fine line
sparkles in your eyes
When it rises, we toss and turn
unwrapping the thin papers,
let it blow away.
There is something bigger going on,
in a quiet place, inside of us.
Before the rain starts
we stand on the edge of the river
as tuning forks, our rusting legs
slowly cease buzzing.

HOMAGE TO SCHEHERAZADE
Tender and young, as Spring coming, but lighter...
The dream that catches the previous day.
When morning rises his face,
we follow our footsteps again,
only each step slightly different;
"instances of bygone men and things"
Promises continue inside of time and will never be done,
till the next sleep carries us into the care of others again.
